The Milwaukee Tennis & Education Foundation, a local chapter of the national organization co-founded by Arthur Ashe, will host the 10th Annual MTEF Tennis Ball Dinner & Auction fundraiser on Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Milwaukee County Zoo's Peck Pavillion.
Last year's gala, co-chaired by Christy Beckmann and Nancy Massart, raised over $131,000 for children in MTEF's TEAM program. The 400+ attendee event, titled "We Believe a Tennis Ball Could Change The World", brought together many special guests, including supporters, partners, local dignitaries and community leaders. Evening highlights included emcee Steve "The Homer" True, honorary chair Kris Barrett, the 2007 TEAM video, awards presentations and entertainment from one of the area's most popular groups, The Eddie Butts Band.
