Who are the Tennis Instructors?

USPTA Professional Derek Baker helps a young boy with his form.     The tennis component of TEAM is overseen by the Tennis Director and supported by MTEF Staff.  All instructors must be interviewed in person before being hired by MTEF. A comprehensive workshop covers employment issues, job responsibilities, group teaching techniques, and interpersonal skills.  To view a copy of the MTEF Coaching and Staff Handbook click here. To view and print a copy of the 2008 Recreational Coaches Workshop Flyer click here.

A.J. Pant instructs during the 2005 NJTL Rally.     While there is a certain progression and logic in the way the TEAM program has been developed, there is room for improvising.  TEAM instructors are taught to use their own creativity and experience to develop ideas to meet the needs of the children in the particular setting in which they are teaching.  Make a commitment to CHOOSE YOUR ATTITUDE, BE THERE, MAKE THEIR DAY, and PLAY.  This commitment from all TEAM staff will not only enrich the lives of the children, but ours as well.  Welcome to TEAM, make it a great experience!
