Financial Education Overview Everyone – kids, teens, young adults and adults – is interested in money and how to be a better money manager. It's never too early, or too late, to gain new knowledge and skills to create a brighter financial future. As a FREE community service, Wells Fargo Bank has provided their Hands on Banking financial education program to everyone involved with the Sherman Park initiative. This informative, interactive, inspiring program offers customized instruction in English and Spanish for four age groups, from 4th grade through adult.
Adult Hands on Banking ® The adult curriculum is a valuable resource for success in personal money management and it includes special sections on buying a home, investing, and starting and managing a small business. The Wells Fargo Financial Education courses are FREE to all residents participating in the tennis program.
Youth Hands on Banking ® The Hands on Banking ® curriculum for school-age students meets or exceeds national education standards for economics, financial literacy, mathematics, and English language arts. Wells Fargo's young adult curriculum offers information about how to afford higher education, use credit responsibly, and become financially independent and self-sufficient.
The youth portion of Hands on Banking ® will be offered at the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 pm for participants. The FREE classes will be taught by MTEF staff member Joseph Jones.
